technology as mutually exclusive events? Are you
struggling with meeting literacy goals, technology
integration and content goals for instruction? Through
dialogue and evaluation of several technology-based
projects in a variety of content areas, participants will
be able to see the wisdom of both initiatives and how they
can have a reciprocal relationship. Student engagement and
achievement can be significantly increased when these two
are joined. |

Research has shown that 87% of students in any given
classroom are either visual or visual kinesthetic
learners. As a result, we must ensure that our students
not only interpret and decode images correctly, but also
produce content that utilizes images and text correctly.
To that end, this session will provide participants with
insight into what it means to be visually literate as well
as demonstrate how one can greatly improve the quality of
Digital Stories, Presentation, etc. |
